The final week of the Saratoga meet begins with Wednesday's program and a number of deep and contentious fields will give punters plenty of options throughout the afternoon.
The fourth race is a 20k claimer which could be dubbed the "seeking to regain lost luster" stakes. A number of runners in here competed at much higher levels in the past and are attempting to regain that back form. #10 BLACKFOOT TRAIL is one of those horses as he broke his maiden here at teh Spa last year and was then placed in four consecutive N1X events where he showed little. Trainer Wally Dollase brought him back to Saratoga earlier this month against a tough N1X field and now gets some much needed class relief. He worked well last week to prepare for this start and has landed in a race where the pace should be solid.

DAY 30 HORSE DU JOUR: Pay What You Owe ran a very poor race in the 8th on Monday.
