According to the Blood-Horse, Richard Dutrow, Jr. used "for twice the allowable level of the bronchodilator clenbuterol" and the "The Kentucky Horse Racing Authority will issue the ruling June 25, suspend Dutrow for 15 days, and demand the horse’s owner to return the $20,000 in purse earnings, racing officials told the newspaper."

All horses, including Big Brown, will not be racing drug free, at least for the most part. Outside of Lasix, they say any steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs are lone gone in the stalls of IEAH. Should they test positive, IEAH will return the purse money.
